All of the interfaces provide for a high degree of customisation, on a system-wide and/or individual user basis. The help and error messages, prompts, menu selections and shortcuts are all soft and read from files.
The format, attributes displayed and order of the main displays can also be interactively adjusted to suit the user. As a simple example, consider the character display:

This might be rearranged thus
Example rearranged screen.
