We aim to provide a wide variety of interfaces enabling users to create and control jobs in any number of ways, including from within application software or indeed other Xi-Batch jobs.
A full set of command line tools enables all aspects of Xi-Batch to be accessed and controlled using shell tools. As with all client programs, the help and error messages are read from files which may be customised on a per-user basis to suit individual tastes.

We provide a "curses" interface for a character terminal such as "dumb" terminals or xterm. As with all the interfaces, this can be customised to suit the user's tastes.

A set of Windows clients enables Xi-Batch to be monitored and new jobs submitted from a Windows PC.
For sites which also host web servers, a web browser interface is available. This comes in two forms, depending on whether Xi-Batch is to run on the web server or not.
You may be able to view an immediate demonstration of the web browser interface by clicking here as Xi-Batch is usually running on our servers (you will receive an intelligible message if not!).
An API is available for C and C++ users enabling direct access to Xi-Batch from application programs.
