Users sometimes want to monitor for the creation or changes to a file and take action on the file arriving.
A file monitor system is provided which can be used to assign variables for Xi-Batch or to perform any other action.
Example file selection setting dialog on X-Windows.
Monitoring can be for the arrival, change, reading or deletion of a file in a given directory or in directories down from the starting directory.
