Batch & Print Management for UNIX & Linux systems

Xi-Batch - UNIX and Linux Batch scheduling

Xi-Batch is an advanced Batch Scheduler. If firing off everything from menus supplemented by complicated command lines meets your needs, you don't need a Batch Scheduler. For doing things at specific times and dates, you also have, on UNIX and Linux, a command called cron which takes strings of commands like this:

22 4 * * 0 root nice -n 19 run-parts /etc/cron.weekly

You may be aware that this means that the script /etc/cron.weekly is to be run every Sunday at 04:22 under user name root. If this does all you need (perhaps you have some menu suite that creates the entries for you) we wouldn't want to persuade you to buy Xi-Batch.

On the other hand if you want some or all of the following facilities ...

... then we think Xi-Batch is for you and we would invite you to browse further.
